Fresh TOAST

Applications are now open for Fresh TOAST, a performance development programme for East Anglian poets, from two of the country’s most experienced poetry producers (more about us here).

Here’s how it works

  1. Applications: tell us who you are and why you want to be part of Fresh TOAST.

  2. Development Day: a small group of successful applicants will be invited to work with TOAST for 1 day on how to craft the perfect set.

  3. Rehearsals: 3 poets from that day will be invited to spend a day working intensively on their performance with TOAST. 

  4. Fresh TOAST Live: Those 3 poets will perform live at the Norwich Theatre: Stage 2 with TOAST on Sunday 8th November.

Details

  1. Payment

    Development day is paid @ £50 for each poet to cover travel to Norwich.

    Rehearsals are paid @ £220 per day, plus travel 

    Live show is paid @ £220 per show plus travel and accommodation if needed 

    Lunch will be provided at the development day and during rehearsals.

    Sunday 8th Nov 2026, 4pm-9pm (Live Performance)

Terms & Conditions

You must be 18+ to take part in Fresh TOAST.

You must be based in East Anglia. 

You must be available for the following dates/times: 

  • Saturday 3rd Oct 2026, 9am-5pm

  • Saturday 17th October 2026, 9am-5pm

  • Sunday 8th Nov 2026, 4pm-9pm

You must not have performed a in a headline slot at a previous TOAST show.
